I think this book was good, but was not my type. I would give this a 4 star rating. It was a good book, but not one of my favorites. I would give this as a choice of book to read to children.
This book is about three kids trying to get more people to read To Kill A Mocking Bird. It first started when Fat Bob (their teacher) told them that they were going to read To Kill A Mocking Bird. Soon he died. So Elena, Michael, and Lucy try to find a way to help the book become famous or noticeable again to honor Fat Bob. The thing is Lucy is having hard times and worrying about her mom. Her mom just came back from the care of cancer. She is now cancer-free. Will Lucy,Elena and Michael find a way to make the book popular to honor fat Bob? Will it change other people too? Will it lead to disaster?

Recently I made a story that is named "The Upside Down Tale." It is Cinderella, but the roles are switched, so the story is different than the original one. I had sent it down to the Betty Award and I am still waiting for a reply back. If you want to see it then, you go to the My Stories Button on my blog and then you will see the title of the story.
Please feel free if you want to check it out . The main character's name is Chase, and the step-brothers name are Jack, and Hank. And if you're wondering there is an evil step-mother. There is also a princess named Lucy. When Chase goes to the ball, he meets Lucy. The clock ticks 12, and Chase runs out and drops his mask, but keeps on running. Lucy picks up the mask and soon tries to find her true prince. Will Lucy find him or will something happen that will affect their meeting? Baltimore is having trouble. It started when Freddy Gray died in police's custody. He had a suffered an injury. Now black people think that they civil rights aren't fair. So they are stealing and burning buildings and cars. The baseball game was cancelled and went on Monday, but nobody could see it. The only people were the 2 teams. The baseball teams wouldn't let in any fans because they were afraid of riots. The things the black people did was very harsh. The mayor's office said that there were 144 vehicles on fire, 15 structure fires, and about 200 arrests during the violence that first broke out on the city’s west side Monday afternoon after the funeral of Freddie Gray, People think that their civil rights are unfair. I think that the black people in Baltimore should stop what they are doing. It can hurt people and it could turn into a horrible fight. This should soon be stopped. The police should be careful around black people. So this argument wouldn't happen again. This was a sad event. Many people died and sacrificed their life. 2,996 people, including the 19 hijackers and 2,977 victims died that day. The hijackers hijacked the plane (took control of it) and went to the places. The places were the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, and a field in Pennsylvania. The last one wasn't supposed to crash there. The people in the plane realized that they were hijacked and tried to stop the plane. So they risked their lives for people in the world. It was a sad event and people knew that they were going to die. So they made phone calls to their loved ones. I think this was a sad event. Many people died and risked their lives. Hopefully this will not happen again. It was important because many people died and the twin towers fell. 9/11 is a sad event. Anne Frank was a young girl that was a Jew. Adolf Hitler was ruler at that time and wanted all Jews to be gone. So Anne Frank and her family,(her sister, father and mother) hid. They hid with 4 other people at her father's old office in Amsterdam, Netherlands. They hid they're for 25 months and Christian friends helped them by bringing food and clothing. Somebody betrayed them and they went to a concentration camp. Anne and her sister died because of typhus. Anne was 15 years old when she died. Her father had escaped with a friend and left his family behind. Her mother had given all her food to her daughters and soon died of starvation on January 6 1945. The daughters lived 2 months without their mother. Soon the Red Army liberated the camp. During the war a man had saved the Anne's diary. Him and Anne's Frank dad had published it. The father was the only survivor in the family. I think it was very mean that the father just left behind his family. He should escape with his family not leave them behind. I think Anne was a very brave girl. A gunman shot a solider that was standing guard outside of the government's Parliament building. The gunman was a 32 year old and his name was Michael Zehaf-Bibeau. He was described as ISIL inspired terrorist. Canada was called for revenge. Since Canada joined the United States in a military air campaign against its fighters in Iraq and Syria. Michael ran to the Parliament building and was shooting at that building. 3 people were treated with major injures. A guard outside had killed the attacker. Since that was the only way to. I think Canada is going to be trouble. Thankfully not a lot of people got hurt in this shooting. Hopefully nothing bad will happen in the future to them. The Beatles were an amazing band and they came from Liverpool England.Their names were John Lennon, Paul McCartney,George Harrison and Ringo Starr, When they came to the US their fans know as the Beatlemania loved them. Their first hit in America was "Love Me Do." The Beatles soon got world famous. They are still famous these days. John Lennon had died because he was shot by a crazy fan. The rest still live today. The Beatles are an amazing band. I think that the Beatles worked very hard to get in the place they are today. The Beatles are still very well-known throughout the world. I had recently read the "The Witches." It is a good book and I am sure kids will like it. The book is about witches and a little boy. The little name is Andreas. This book is a good one to read. The boy, Andreas lives in England with his parents. His grandma lives in Norway and the family comes to visit once in a while. When the little boy come to visit the Grandma. The grandma tells stories about witches. She says that a witch looks like a regular person but is bald and has no tails and the witches have bigger nose-holes than us. Thy have claws as nails and their spit is blue. So what they do is they cover they baldness with a wig. They always wear gloves to cover their hands. They use they nose to smell kids. For them a kid that can smell like roses can smell like dog poop. For their feet they have to squeeze them into shoes. Witches always thin of a plan to destroy children. The worst one of all is the Grand Witch. One day Andreas parents were taking him to his Grandma house. But since they was a icy road. They all got into a car accident and the parents dies. So the little boy goes to his Grandma's house and stays there. In the parent's will it said that if they die early they would like the Grandma to take care of them in England. They stay at a hotel. There they find out that all the witches in England are there in the same hotel they are staying in. What will happen? I give this book a 5 star review. This book is filled with adventure and it will be a good one. If you want to find out what happened read "The Witches" by Roald Dahl. This is not scary. I watched it. It wasn't scary at all.
Washington and his troops were staying at Valley Forge. He had chosen this spot because General Howe was staying there and since it was a high view. He could see if the British would give them surprises. Through the winter all the soldiers ate was fire cake or pepper soup. Fire cake was just flour and salt and water mixed together and they cooked them on rocks. Pepper soup was just pepper and water. Washington had sing them. Washington has also been writing letter to letter asking Congress to give supplies. Winter had finally passed for the soldiers. Washington had done a great job pushing them throughout the winter. The soldiers had many things to eat. Washington had seen soldiers die in winter from coldness or hunger, but now he saw the soldiers finally happy. I think that Washington was a great leader to the troops. He had great leadership that helped us win our freedom. If it wasn't for him, we really wouldn't have freedom right now. |
